Usage: under the action of alkali water, the intramolecular Si-H bond is broken and hydrogen is released to form triethyl silyl alcohol. In the reaction with alkyl lithium, the hydrogen atom in the Si-H bond is replaced by alkyl. It reacts with alkoxy lithium to form triethyl alkoxysilane. Triethyl chlorosilane is formed by the reaction of triethylchlorosilane with hydrogen chloride in the presence of tri aluminum chloride. The addition reaction can take place with chain olefins under the action of platinum catalyst. It can be prepared from triethyl chlorosilane by lithium hydride or tetrahydrolithium aluminum reduction. Used to synthesize organosilicon compounds
