Paclitaxel and docetaxel are high-efficiency, low toxicity and broad-spectrum anticancer drugs, especially for gynecological tumors, so they are the fastest-growing chemotherapeutic drugs in clinical use. The C13 side chain of paclitaxel was slightly modified (that is, the benzoyl group of the side chain was changed to tert butoxycarbonyl) to obtain the side chain of docetaxel. Then the side chains of paclitaxel and docetaxel were coupled with baccatin III to obtain anticancer drugs paclitaxel and docetaxel, respectively.
The side chain of docetaxel can be used as an intermediate of organic synthesis and pharmaceutical intermediates. It is mainly used in laboratory research and development process and chemical pharmaceutical synthesis process. It can be used as an intermediate of docetaxel.
